Try Dives 'Meet The Locals' Larkstone Try Dive Experience
Perhaps you've already done a pool try dive and are ready for the next step? Join us for a summer season (mid June-mid September) sea try dive. Larkstone enjoys a relatively sheltered position and there is lots of life to be found hiding along the rocky shoreline.
After you've had a safety briefing it's into the water with a Diving Instructor to practice key dive skills. Once you've mastered the skills we'll be swimming along the rocky shoreline looking for Lobsters, Spider crabs (July to mid August), edible and velvet crabs, plus you are likely to see Dog Fish (the UK's smallest shark!), Wrasse, passing shoals of grey mullett and other fish and even the occassional Seal! A safety boat is on hand to keep us safe from passing boat traffic.
Open to those aged 12yrs+, able to swim 25 metres unaided in water too deep to stand in (subject to medical form see below).
To take part in a try dive experience (PADI Discover Scuba Diving Dive) you need only to be in reasonable physical health with basic swimming skills.
