Pre-requisites

PADI Reactivate is open to all qualified divers who are fit to dive on the PADI Diving Medical Form.

Before You Book

Before you book a PADI Reactivate, please read our terms and conditions and FAQs and check that you can answer no to the questions on page 1 of the PADI Diving Medical form. You will complete this form digitally when you sign-up for the e-learning, but you need to check it before you book in case you require a Doctor's sign-off. If you need to answer yes to any of the questions on page 1, you should print the whole form and give it to your doctor for sign-off. Your GP may ask you to see a private diving doctor, as a GP is not qualified to sign-off on all conditions. We have a list of UK diving doctors, so please contact us

FAQs

Is a PADI Reactivate course the right option for me?
The PADI Reactivate course is aimed at divers who haven't dived for 2 years or more. If it has been longer than 10 years, you may want to consider re-doing the Open Water course, please get in touch to discuss
What do you do during a PADI Reactivate course?
You will attend a training session at our dive centre and firstly, we will conduct a knowledge review of the theory homework that you undertook independently before the course starts. We then re-familiarise you with the gear and set-up and break-down, plus the key dos and don'ts of scuba diving. Then you kit up and we take you into the pool for a 1 hour training dive with an experienced PADI Professional. Once you are comfortably using the equipment and breathing underwater we will take you through a key dive skills circuit, to refresh your muscle memory and give you time to practice your buoyancy control
How long will the homework take?
We will register your course with PADI and you will receive a link to the e-learning
homework. You should allow around 8 hours to complete it before you attend the
training session – it may take less or more time so be prepared.
What is the benefit of doing a PADI Reactivate course?
Taking part in a PADI Reactivate course will bring you back up to speed with diving theory and refresh your muscle memory, so you’re ready and prepared to deal with any minor issues underwater. This will make your fun diving more relaxed and enjoyable and you will be more confident and safer as a diver. Your diving certificate will be updated after you complete the course, to show other dive centres that you are ready to dive.
